Posted: October 15, 2010 I just then realized some things that - shamefully - I’m forgetting about.I have written about global citizenship and I have posted videos that promotes caring for others yet sometimes I tend to forget to act my concern out. I sometimes get carried away by the pranks me and my classmates play, and eventually … I forget about other people. Global citizenship - as I have written - is about being a citizen not only of the country you live in; but of the whole world as well. Being a citizen of the world - simply - is being aware and concerned of the things that are happening around you. It is as if you belong to a family, that you have to care for each other’s welfare. I may have the intent of doing something for them. I would admit it. But sometimes, due to too much works, I tend to forget about it. That no matter how I would like to be a global citizen, I cannot help but to think of myself first. A selfish act indeed. And I just have developed my newest philosophy in life. It’s called CARING FOR OTHERS, NO MATTER WHAT. I will try to do anything for others if it’s reasonable. I was able to watch this video when I was still in 2nd year highschool. My heart was tugged by the scenes in this vid and I just wished that I could something for them. Something that would really help them.I am no Supergirl but I believe that in my own little ways I could help the whole world.I am Louise. May dugong bayani. :)
